We’re already at the end of the first month of 2014. We’ve already heard many great releases and seen many viral music videos. So, we decided to give you a round-up of the hottest lines put on video from 2013, this is what we came up with:
KANYE WEST – BLACK SKINHEAD
Aided by the notorious title of his 2013 album release, this video caused ridiculous amounts of traffic all over the web. Though the unfinished video was leaked in early July, Nick Knight’s (the director of the video) final cut brought a whole lot more to the table, from racial stirs right through to the ever-so-old idea of the “Illuminati” in possession of Mr West.
DA L.E.S feat. AKA & MAGGZ - HEAVEN
When these 3 South African greats decided to make a video to this banging track, they had their heads in the right place. The all-white theme brought a sense of invincibility to the artists. The poise of it all was certainly a display of their capability to compete in the international Hip-Hop scene – evidently, the video easily flew past the 100,000 views.
MIKE WILL MADE IT feat. MILEY CYRUS, WIZ KHALIFA & JUICY J - 23
"I understand that sneaker culture, I understand that Jordan culture," Will said. "I know you want to get Miley looking fine as hell right here. I know you want to get Wiz and Juicy... But at the same time we have to get these shoes."

There is no comparison to this artist’s growth. Blayze is another South African rapper who is marking his territory on the international map, with his recently released album. The Pilot films production has a “Dracula Party” type of atmosphere. It just works!

JAY Z – HOLY GRAIL
After mentioning Kanye West, it becomes hard not to talk about Jay-Z and his everlasting skill of great rhymes and exquisite taste. The king of rap’s collaboration with 2013’s best-selling artist, Justin Timberlake seemed to draw a lot of attention to Jay-Z as the video was, I quote, “not like anything his ever done before”. He gave the director, Anthony Mandler, direct orders to “F- with people’s heads.”

Hip-Hop OG Reason is, I quote “….At the point where his balling ain’t a game...” Get it? Point – Ball – Game. This time on a remix of his song “No Sleep” with the largest roster of artists to make an elite track dedicated to his deceased child. This is an anthemic club banger, heavy with bass, contains hardcore lyrics and soothing vocals from Moneoa.
